The Brockington Parent and Baby Unit (PBU) Team delivers care to expectant and new mothers experiencing moderate to severe and complex mental health problems during the perinatal period. The Service is part of MPFT Perinatal Services which includes the South Staffordshire Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Team and the Shropshire Perinatal Community Mental Health Team, with close working relationships across all perinatal services.
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to shape the future of the service for families during this transitional time. If you are creative, motivated, and have strong leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
 * Provide specialist assessment, treatment, and consultancy services for individuals and families with moderate to severe mental health difficulties during the perinatal period.
 * Deliver direct psychological support to individual families, both directly and by supervising and supporting MDT colleagues.
 * Clinically lead the psychological provision within the PBU and contribute to the development of the clinical psychology service.
 * Supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other psychologists and clinical members of the team.
 * Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systemic governance of psychological practice within the service/team.
 * Deliver training and consultation to partner agencies and participate in service development.
MPFT will offer a welcome bonus of 10% of first year salary—50% on commencement of employment and 50% following 12 months employment.
