Job Title: Regional Occupancy Manager

Location: Hybrid – WFH & Weekly site visits (Area covered will be Kent, Essex & London)
Type: Permanent – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £45,000 per annum plus company car & an annual 10% management bonus & up to 20% occupancy bonus (Paid 5% per quarter)

Role Overview: As a Regional Occupancy Manager, you will guide the strategic vision and oversee the public sector occupancy in our care homes. Your responsibilities include managing occupancy rates through proficient stakeholder management and engagement. You will take the lead in all bidding and tender processes for your region as well as overseeing existing block contracts and managing all renewals
Typical Responsibilities:
1. Identify, develop, and maintain business relationships with internal and external customers building partnerships with funder decision makers/budget holders to ensure that Bupa is the “go to” partner in key regions.
2. Host and lead regular meetings with operational and strategic colleagues to review occupancy requirements and opportunities and formulate strategic plans to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
3. Identify commissioning arrangements with growth possibilities, produce robust business plans that unlock and leverage benefit.
4. Maintain a general understanding of commissioned areas of need including an appreciation of the types of conditions that our Care Homes support, how they impact the home environment and the impact they have on occupancy and safe practices.
5. Lead and manage the bid function and process, managing the bid production plan for each submission and ensuring all proposal submissions are of a high standard and delivered on time.
Qualifications and Skills:
6. Previous Sales experience in the health care sector
7. Experience of collaborating with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards and NHS Trust Board level stakeholders and developing, bidding, and winning formal tenders.
8. Experience of driving commissioning agendas and influencing service-based pathway design.
9. Knowledge of Local Authority and Integrated Care Board (ICB) structures.
10. Knowledge of the commissioning process and the relationship between commissioners and service providers.
