Overview
Associate Sales Engineer, WU - UK South at Grundfos. The role supports the Area Sales Manager in the Welsh Water Utilities area by providing commercial and technical support to secure growth. You will negotiate orders, identify problems, and collaborate with customers to develop solutions. Your work includes outreach sales, following up on opportunities, customer relationship management, and project collaboration with internal colleagues.
Your main responsibilities
* Support commercial and technical input to sales activities to drive accelerated growth.
* Assist Area Sales Managers in maximizing sales and implementing strategic plans.
* Implement trials to gain new product acceptance at an operational level.
* Conduct site visits and surveys with Energy teams to identify problems and develop solutions.
* Prepare quotations for pumps and spares and respond to customer inquiries.
* Engage with customers, handling requests that require product and application knowledge, including troubleshooting.
* Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including end users, design institutes, consulting firms, authorities, and others.
Your background
* Experience in external sales or in a demanding sales environment; committed, driven, and enthusiastic.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with deadlines and targets.
* Operate at all levels internally and externally; strong communication and negotiation skills.
* A degree or equivalent work experience in Water Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
* Some experience or knowledge of water process products, Water Utility industry, or a sales/technical role.
* Experience or basic understanding of electrical equipment.
* Knowledge of pumping and associated equipment in the water industry is beneficial but not essential.
* Experience with controls/automation equipment used in the UK water industry is beneficial but not essential.
