About the Role
We are seeking an entry-level Financial Controller who is looking to take the next step in their finance career. Reporting into the Finance Director, the entry-level Financial Controller will have an overall responsibility for day to day management of the finance function, overseeing the work of the finance team, preparation of accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, forecasts, cashflows and other MI and to add value with insightful KPI reporting and analysis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Timely and accurate monthly management accounts including investigation of any variances
* Timely and accurate input for cashflow preparation
* Timely and high quality input for budgets and forecasts with clear assumptions
* Identifying and driving cost savings and value adding opportunities
* Other commercial analysis as required
* Overseeing and preparation of accurate monthly management accounts to strict deadlines
* Investigating and explaining variances against budgets and forecasts
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Supporting the Commercial Systems Manager in the production of daily management information and data analysis across the business as well as external KPI reporting
* Assisting with weekly cashflow preparation & management
* Overseeing finance team of 3 - including staff support & development
* Supporting FD with budgets and forecasts preparation
* Identifying and driving improvements and efficiencies within current processes
* Effective business partnering across business to support decision making
* Supporting FD with various analysis/projects as required
* Liaising with auditors
Personal Specifications
* Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
* Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
* Great attention to detail
* Strong organizational, multi -tasking skills and ability to work to strict deadlines whilst effectively managing personal workload
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels with finance and non-finance individuals
* Desire and ability to drive improvements and create efficiencies
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office and strong Excel skills
* A positive ‘can do’ attitude and strong interpersonal skills demonstrating high level of integrity
