Job Title: Credit Controller Location: Rosyth, Fife (Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 remote) Salary: £35,000 benefits annual bonus Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent AJ Connect is exclusively partnering with a leading international manufacturing business to recruit an International Credit Controller to support their European finance function on an 6-month FTC with the potential to extend and go permanent. Operating across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, this role will take ownership of credit control, collections and banking processes across multiple regions and currencies, helping to maintain strong cash flow while supporting improvements across the wider contract-to-cash cycle. The Role You will be responsible for managing international customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, accurate payment allocation and strong credit control practices across a global customer base. Working closely with Finance, Sales and Customer Service teams, the role will also support month-end reporting, credit risk management and continuous improvement across processes and systems. Key Responsibilities Manage credit control and collections across multiple international regions and currencies. Monitor customer payment behaviour, credit limits and exposure to ensure compliance with company credit policies. Administer international payment instruments including letters of credit, bank guarantees and regional payment terms. Manage customer accounts in line with lease agreements, distribution contracts and commercial terms. Reconcile complex customer accounts and resolve discrepancies relating to multi-currency transactions and varied payment schedules. Manage daily banking activities and allocate incoming payments across multiple global bank accounts. Oversee SEPA Direct Debit collections and UK direct debit processes via AUDDIS, including reconciliation and reporting. Produce KPI reports on aged debt, cash collection performance and regional risk trends. Support month-end and year-end close processes and liaise with auditors where required. Identify opportunities to improve automation, reduce manual processes and strengthen controls across the contract-to-cash cycle. About You Proven experience in international credit control within a multi-currency environment. Strong understanding of international payment practices such as letters of credit and bank guarantees. Experience managing direct debit processes. Comfortable working with commercial agreements including lease and distribution contracts. Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with experience producing KPI and aged debt reporting. Experience working with ERP systems and credit management tools. Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally with teams across different regions. Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
