Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience

Are you a highly organised Workshop Manager with a passion for keeping things
running smoothly? We're looking for someone to oversee the day-to-day operations
of our busy workshop, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality output across all
departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations -
o Open and close the workshop daily to ensure full workshop operation
between hours 8am-5pm, ensuring a safe, clean, and organised
environment
o Manage space, stock, and storage across all workshop departments
(carpentry, paint, and sundries)
o Oversee workshop maintenance, tool checks, and machine servicing
Team & Workflow Management -
o Support workshop crew with necessary materials, components, and
access to required tools
o Align workshop output with project schedules and quality standards in
coordination with the Production Manager
o Operate forklift and manage deliveries in and out of the workshop
Health & Safety -
o Enforce high standards of health and safety for all workshop crew
including staff and freelancers
o Maintain and update RAMS, signage, first aid equipment, and safety
procedures including through tool box talks and inductions
o Create risk assessments for bespoke workshop operations
Logistics & Coordination -
o Organise and track deliveries to site and to subcontractors
o Ensure vans are packed, labelled, and loaded efficiently in line with
project timelines
o Assist with onboarding new drivers by running through company driving
policy, how to conduct van checks and safely load vehicles
o Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained
What We're Looking For:
* Fabrication experience essential
* Workshop or production management experience desirable but not essential
* Ability to interpret workshop drawings and fabrication methods
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Hands-on knowledge of tools, machinery, and health & safety procedures
* Confident in stock management and delivery logistics
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one via company training)
* A flexible approach – occasional weekend work or overtime may be required
to meet project deadlines

* You'll also be expected to support with ad-hoc duties, company vehicle use,
and internal resource updates
