Job title: Electrician / Harness Builder Location: Burton Shifts: Days only Hours per week: 40 Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1pm Friday Duration: 3-6 month contract with potential extension Start date: Immediate Backgrounds considered: Electrical, panel wiring, vehicles, manufacturing Client summary: A leading manufacturer and supplier of powertrain products across the UK and Ireland. Specialisms include engine overhaul, final drive overhaul and locomotive refurbishment. Position summary: You will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing engine rafts in line with drawings and instructions, ensuring work is completed to a high standard. Key accountabilities: * Manufacture conduit and concentric layered harnesses * Repair parts and equipment as required * Inspect and repair harnesses, control cabinets and electrical items on train power packs and transmissions * Order parts and equipment where needed * Complete all documentation and inspection sheets with correct signatures * Identify repair needs caused by wear and tear and report findings Person profile / experience: * Able to work effectively in a changing environment, meeting deadlines and short lead times * Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements * Willing to take on additional reasonable duties within skill set Qualifications / education (all preferred, not essential): * NVQ in Electrical Engineering or similar * Experience in rail, automotive, electrical, harness building or panel wiring environments Contact: Alex Cameron Email: (url removed) Please note all applicants must pass a drugs and alcohol test before any offer of work.
