Responsibilities
* Lead microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples following established procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
* Support investigations into microbiological anomalies and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
* Create and update documentation, including procedures, protocols, and reports.
* Train and mentor junior staff in microbiological techniques and laboratory practices.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Science or equivalent experience.
* Practical knowledge in at least one area of pharmaceutical microbiology (e.g., environmental monitoring, sterility testing, microbial identification).
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* A Level in Science or equivalent qualification.
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant regulations.
* Experience in method development or validation.
