Overall Job Purpose: The Lead Business Analyst will be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts in the scoping, defining, and documenting of business objectives, processes and requirements. They will play a leading role in the IT & Digital Transformation team working closely with the Head of IT & Digital Transformation to effectively resource and support the BA team with IT & Digital Transformation Programme. They will need to instil best practise and high standards across the BA team, fostering strong bonds with the business leads across Stonegate Group. They must be able to see the ‘big picture’ of requests and be solution focused. This role is home based, with travel to our Head Office in Solihull at least 1-2 times a week. You must live within commutable distance of Solihull for this role. Responsibilities: To line manage and motivate a team of Business Analysts in the delivery of the IT & Digital Transformation projects and workstreams. To establish a common way of working, constantly evolving to meet business needs, to delivery high standards within the Business Analysis team. To monitor and oversee the BA’s input to project management in respect of task timescales, change management and risk and issue management. To ensure the team communicate requirements and work effectively with in house and to 3rd party developers. To represent the team across a wide range of forums – internal meetings, workshops and presentations and with 3rd party providers. To build effective relationships and collaborate with business managers at both Support Centre and Operational levels. Manage and develop partnerships with a range of external providers. Ensuring effective quality assurance for projects assigned through the agreed departmental KPI's Ensuring the delivery of the Programme's governance standards whilst in discovery, and that all project statuses, timelines and business cases are accurately reflected in the Programme tracker. Ensuring you have knowledge of the dependencies and interfaces between the projects. Person Specification: Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications: Essential: Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of Business Analysis and project management methods Sufficient authority and credibility to advise and direct the team in relation to the successful delivery of the programme. Strong interpersonal qualities including goal orientation, action focused, pragmatic and disciplined. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to individuals, adapting communication style, amount and format based upon the level of seniority and/or understanding of the audience. A self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to show initiative and work without supervision and direction Flexible and adaptable with the skills to carry out a range of business analysis in different business areas. Ability to motivate both direct team members and individuals within other departments as necessary to deliver objectives within agreed timescales. Ability to deal with difficult and demanding stakeholders and maintain a calm and positive attitude when working under pressure. An excellent team player who is flexible and has empathy with team members whilst maintaining the focus necessary to achieve the required objectives.
