Overview
Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post will be based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, with expectation to work at any of the Trust's sites. There are 2 posts available. The post is suited to a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in developing skills and knowledge in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This post involves working a full Obstetrics and Gynaecology on call (1:9).
A candidate unable to undertake the duties of a whole-time post for personal reasons will receive equal consideration. Main duties of the job
The post will be based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, with eligibility to work at any of the Trusts sites. This post combines obstetrics and gynaecology and involves working an on-call rota (1:9). The duties cover the full clinical range of all obstetric and gynaecological procedures. Supervision is provided by consultants. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of an Obstetrics and Gynaecology rota in a busy NHS hospital to develop skills, with the aim to provide a special interest session once a week for specific learning and development alongside broad exposure to all aspects of the specialty.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration
* MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
Desirable
* Post-graduate degree (MD, PhD) or post-graduate fellowship experience
Ability
* Demonstrates ability and skills commensurate with experience, including handling obstetric emergencies, counselling and treating upset patients and relatives; references should demonstrate training progress; clear English communication; competence at basic and intermediate obstetric ultrasound.
Knowledge
* Progressive acquisition of knowledge specific to career goals; understands risk management, the audit cycle, and continuing education.
Personal Attributes
* Willing and able to collate and record information; communicates in writing with other professionals; good time management and diligence; punctuality in duties.
Relationships
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues and members of the health team; able to form a caring relationship with patients. Desirable: formal managerial experience such as rota coordinator.

* Ability to work without direct supervision but seeks help when appropriate. Desirable: research presentations and publications; PI experience.
