Here, you are involved right from the off As Production Design Engineer, you are the one speaking with the customer, understanding what they actually need then designing something that works in the real world. And you see it through. Design, build, testing youre still involved at the end, not just the beginning. Thats probably very different to what you are used to. As Production Design Engineer, you are designing control panels for fans and ventilation systems. Nothing too complicated, but it has to be right. You are using SEE Electrical, putting together schematics, BOMs, estimates, and speaking to customers when things need sense checking. Its not just somewhere you will be sat behind a screen, you are part of a small team in Salisbury. Production, operations, sales all close together. People talk. Problems get sorted quickly. You dont have to fight to be heard here. As Production Design Engineer, youre in the middle of it. Not waiting for someone to pass something over. You already know your electrical design. As Production Design Engineer, youre comfortable with control panels. You can put a schematic together without needing someone over your shoulder. You can come in and get going. There is a bit of crossover. Around 15 to 20 percent mechanical. Small SolidWorks adjustments, a bit of metalwork awareness. If youve done it, great. If not, and youre open, youll pick it up. You might come from HVAC, agriculture or you may come from a completely different pathway Its your electrical grounding as a Production Design Engineer that matters. You dont need your 18th Edition If you want it later, youll be supported. What youll probably enjoy is the pace. These arent projects that drag on. Theyre smaller builds. You design something and not long after, its being built and tested. You can see it working. Youre someone who takes ownership. Youre comfortable speaking to customers. You care about getting it right, but youre practical. And youre easy to work with.
