Who They Are
This is a modern small animal practice based in South London, operating as part of a stable, long‑established veterinary group. The practice is purpose‑built, light, and well‑equipped with contemporary diagnostic and surgical technology, supporting a high standard of first‑opinion and advanced clinical care.
The clinical team includes vets working toward, or already holding, additional surgical and ECC qualifications, creating a collaborative environment with access to mentorship, shared learning, and case discussion. What You’ll Do
* Deliver first‑opinion medical and surgical care, including preventative services and treatment of sick and injured patients.
* Perform clinical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning aligned with patient welfare and evidence‑based practice.
* Undertake soft tissue surgical procedures, with exposure to more advanced and orthopaedic cases depending on experience and development goals.
* Contribute to orthopaedic case management, including diagnostics, peri‑operative care, and follow‑up.
* Work in line with RCVS standards, maintaining patient safety, pain management, and clinical governance.
* Communicate treatment plans clearly to clients and collaborate with veterinary nurses and non‑clinical team members.
* Participate in the practice rota, including shared weekend cover.

What They Need From You
* RCVS Registration – eligibility to practise as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK.
* Clinical Capability – ability to manage first‑opinion consultations and procedures.
* Surgical Interest or Experience – engagement with soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics.
* Client Communication – ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and aftercare clearly.
* Team Collaboration – effective working across clinical and non‑clinical teams.
