Tir-y-berth Primary School DEPUTY HEADTEACHER ISR RANGE – L05 – L09 To commence January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter (pending safeguarding clearance) Applications are invited from dynamic, experienced and suitably qualified Teachers for the post of Deputy Head Teacher of this successful Primary School. The school provides education for boys and girls between the ages of three and eleven. The school is located in the village of Tir-y-berth in Caerphilly County Borough and serves 144 pupils aged 3 to 11. It includes a Specialist Resource Base that provides highly effective support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs. The school fosters a friendly and supportive atmosphere where pupils are treated as individuals and feel valued. Its motto, “Learning and Laughing Together,” reflects its commitment to excellence across all areas of school life, as well as its dedication to making learning enjoyable for everyone. The Estyn Inspection Report (December 2023) states that: Tir-y-berth Primary School provides an inclusive and nurturing environment. Staff foster positive relationships and create a friendly and supportive atmosphere where pupils are treated as individuals and feel valued. The school has an exceptionally strong focus on well-being and emotional support, and as a result, pupils behave well and engage enthusiastically in lessons.
