CEN Resources is partnering with a successful and growing engineering consultancy based in Glasgow. Due to growth and project awards, our client is now seeking a Senior Process Engineer. The company operates across various process industries, including Energy, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, and Life Sciences. Responsibilities:
1. Support Lead Process and Process Safety Engineers in all aspects of Process Design to deliver engineering solutions during Concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
2. Develop sizing calculations for process equipment such as Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Distillation Columns, Compressors, Separators, Reactors, etc., and provide equipment datasheets.
3. Prepare process equipment and instrument-related documents to meet project requirements.
4. Provide design input for engineering drawings.
5. Review and check design documents and drawings prepared by the design team.
6. Stay updated with new standards, process software, and procedures, and implement them in daily work.
7. Proficiently use AutoCAD and chemical process simulators; experience on production sites is advantageous.
8. Conduct site visits for surveys, meetings, and other activities.
9. Support project deliverables related to process safety, including HAZID, HAZOP, DSEAR, and HAC studies, including scribing and facilitation when qualified.
10. Prepare process specifications, drawings, and deliverables such as:
* Process Design Basis
* Process Flow Diagrams
* Heat and Mass Heat Balances
* P&ID Diagrams
* Material Selection Diagrams
* Line and Equipment Lists
* Process Data Sheets for Equipment
Qualifications & Desirable Skills:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering.
* Familiarity with process design in a chemical process plant environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Comfortable in a customer-facing role.
* Demonstrable experience with process safety deliverables.
