We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea. You'll be providing one-to-one support to a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them feel confident, engaged, and supported throughout their learning journey. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, ensuring they feel safe, included, and engaged in all activities. Work alongside teachers to deliver and adapt personalised learning plans. Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development. Encourage positive behaviour and celebrate achievements, big and small. Record progress and share updates with teachers, parents, and support professionals. Collaborate with external specialists to promote holistic development and wellbeing. About You Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a school environment. A kind, patient, and proactive approach to learning support. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexible, resilient, and committed to inclusive education.
