Experienced Care Assistant to support a gentleman in his 60s with Motor Neurone Disease in Shaldon. Long and short day shifts available: 09:30-15:30 and 06:45-19:00.
Role details
Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced Care Assistant to provide 2:1 support for a gentleman in his 60s living with Motor Neurone Disease. He has a tracheostomy for airway management, is ventilator-dependent for respiratory support, has a PEG for feeding and a colostomy. He requires full support with mobility, using a wheelchair and hoist for transfers and uses eye gaze technology to communicate. He enjoys getting out into the community, going shopping and spending time on his boat during the summer.
Shift Details
* 09:30-15:30 Friday to Sunday
* 06:45-19:00 Friday to Sunday
Note: it would be great if you were flexible enough to do a minimum of 3-4 days per week for consistency, but we recognise that doesn't suit everyone. Please contact us if you're interested to discuss your availability. You can work full or part time.
Pay Rates
* £14.50 p/hr Friday
* £17.05 p/hr Saturday - Sunday
* £20.05 p/hr Bank Holidays

What You'll Need
* Good References (covering at least 3 years)
* You must be a car driver
* Reliability and good communication
* Right to work in the UK (We do not offer Work Visa)
