As Head of Range Operations, you will lead the team responsible for activating and managing the spaceport’s range during launch operations. Drawing heavily on your background in coordinated fire missions, safety‑critical procedures, and command roles, you will ensure that all activities are conducted safely, compliantly, and in line with the Range Control Licence and the Space Industry Act 2018.
On launch day, you will step into the position of Range Operations Manager, directing the safe execution of the mission and overseeing range safety functions in real time.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage all arrangements for range activation and operation.
* Ensure all licensed activities are carried out safely, professionally, and in accordance with the Range Control Licence and the Space Industry Act 2018.
* Oversee the effective functioning of all range operations personnel during spaceflight activities.
* Ensure the Range Operations Team completes all mission‑specific training and is fully ready for operations.
* Develop strategic plans and budget recommendations in consultation with senior leadership.
* Lead, develop, and mentor the Range Operations Team, ensuring high performance across multiple technical disciplines.
* Serve as Range Operations Manager during live launch operations, following formal Range Operations Procedures.
What You’ll Bring
