NPP are recruiting for an estimator on behalf of our client an established, market leading, social housing refurbishment contractor with a view to providing high quality cost estimates in a timely manner.
The role is to support the regional director, identifying risks and ensuring commercial opportunities are realised.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the vetting of bid documentation
* Carrying out site visits to gain knowledge of projects and works
* Carry out detailed reviews of ITT documents
* Liaising with other departments to gain information to be used to it's full potential
* Preparing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries
* Provision of accurate estimates and pre-acquisition studies
* Using accurate enquiries from sub-contractors to assist the formulation of bids using the evaluate estimating system
* Reviewing market costs
* Mitigating risks
* Provision of resource analysis
* Complying and upholding the companies policies, procedures and values
* Maintaining and updating the materials and sub-contractor database information in liaison with management
* Vetting of bid documentation
The ideal candidate will have a construction relevant qualification and experience in a estimators role. Experience of social housing refurb or retrofit contracts would be ideal
