An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially minded CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join a growing and dynamic business in a senior finance position. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance, while working closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
You will play a key role in overseeing all core financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and delivering meaningful insight to support continued growth and operational excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller/Finance Manager looking to take ownership within a fast-paced environment while continuing to develop towards a senior finance leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly and year-end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
* Producing monthly profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, reconciliations, and financial commentary.
* Delivering insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast to support strategic decision-making.
* Coordinating the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
* Providing commercial finance support around pricing, margins, profitability, and operational performance.
* Preparing detailed budget packs with supporting analysis and commentary for senior management.
* Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners including auditors, tax advisors, banks, and finance providers.
* Ensuring robust financial controls, policies, and procedures are maintained across the business.
* Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance and operations to drive efficiency and best practice.
* Supporting and developing junior finance team members through day-to-day mentoring and supervision.
* Assisting with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project work as required.
About You
* Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge.
* Previous experience within a senior finance or management accounting role preferably within fast paced/growing SME environment.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to provide meaningful financial insight to non-finance stakeholders.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
* Advanced Excel and financial systems experience preferred.
