A leading Civil Engineering contractor based in Suffolk, but operating throughout the UK. They deliver high-quality civil engineering projects in various sectors including highways, bridges, infrastructure, flood defence, energy, and rail.
Coordinate with site management to ensure timely and accurate completion of quality take-offs in line with project requirements.Oversee setting-out activities and manage the implementation of sectional service plans and drawings, ensuring permits are issued appropriately.
Conduct inspections and testing to confirm that all works meet design specifications and quality standards.
Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all control measures are clearly communicated and implemented on site.
Identify and escalate potential commercial risks or opportunities to the project team to support proactive decision-making.
Support the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager by providing accurate site records and documentation for claims and reporting.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Junior Engineers, fostering their professional development and integration into the team.
Extensive setting out experience on infrastructure projects, particularly highways, roads, and earthworks.
Proficient in using Leica or Geomax surveying equipment.
Skilled in transferring data from AutoCAD to surveying instruments.
Strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and the quality assurance process.
Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to travel across the Eastern region.
