We are seeking a skilled mechanical/electrical fitter to join our team in manufacturing yellow goods for the railway construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical components in our equipment to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
This position requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble mechanical and electrical components for yellow goods used in railway construction.
* Install and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
* Follow safety protocols and adhere to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
* Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to optimize equipment performance.
* Document work performed and provide feedback for process improvement.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
* Technical certification or apprenticeship in a related field preferred.
* Proven experience as a mechanical or electrical fitter in a manufacturing setting,
* preferably in the railway or heavy equipment industry.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
* Knowledge of hand and power tools used in assembly and repair.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to safety and quality standards.
