We are supporting a leading Wholesale Insurance Broker to recruit two Commercial Account Handlers to join their thriving team based in Birmingham. As an Account Handler working for a Wholesale broker - you will ultimately help support brokers to place business both digitally and through a broking desk. This role focuses on building relationships and driving business through for your commercial broker clients whillst maintaining strong relationships with insurers.
About the role
* You will collaborate with Strategic Account Managers to ensure a targeted approach is taken with broker members.
* You will play a key role in gathering feedback to improve the value proposition.
* You will contribute to the development of new business.
* Maintain best in class relationships with members and insurers and internal teams.
Key skills and experience
* Minimum of 2/3 years proven commercial insurance experience in broking or underwriting with a track record of placing business.
* Strong understanding of the cross-class commercial insurance market and processes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Flexibility and resilience.
* Aptitude for technology, with experience in Acturis and Microsoft products preferred.
* Desire to progress further insurance qualifications a plus.
* Keen to develop a career working in wholesale broking
