Join our Technology team as a Network Engineer. This is an 18-month fixed-term full-time position reporting directly to our IT Operations Manager. You will be responsible for the configuration and management of enterprise network infrastructure, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of the wider business.
You will be responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure that underpins ANZCO's products and services. This role ensures ANZCO effectively meets service and delivery goals, with particular focus on the Core network, internet edge, and complex engineering. A key function of the role is to ensure the company's infrastructure is reliable and well managed.
Responsibilities include:
1. Work on continuous improvement of IT systems in accordance with ANZCO Foods' strategic plan.
2. Identify practical opportunities and proactively suggest quality improvements to systems and practices.
3. Possess sound knowledge of end-user compute environment builds, management, and deployment methods.
4. Apply technical problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership and see issues through to resolution.
5. Troubleshoot performance issues and provide technical and advisory support to ensure successful outcomes.
6. Maintain high-quality documentation and implement quality improvements to systems and practices.
7. Maintain and optimize firewall rules.
Skills and experience required:
1. Tertiary qualification in relevant ICT and/or Business subject.
2. Experience with IT systems interfacing with plant equipment.
3. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role with a major company.
4. Experience with Palo Alto/Fortinet Firewalls (desirable).
5. Deep knowledge of enterprise routing and switching protocols, BGP, VLANs, subnetting, etc.
6. Ability to train and mentor others.
7. High degree of professionalism with ongoing technical and non-technical development.
8. Experience with Operational Technology (SCADA, PLCs) (desirable).
