The role..
We have a new opportunity for an FP&A Analyst to join our Manchester based team on a fixed term basis. Reporting to the CoE FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high quality reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis that provides timely and relevant information to Senior Management and Business Partners.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Ensure transactions are accurately categorised and reported. Variances to budget and forecast are captured and fully understood
* Responsible for developing budgets, forecasts and long term plans
* Prepare and provide timely analysis on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis. Discuss performance with the business collaborators and business partners
* Capture and interpret data to analyse business performance, perform scenario analysis
* High level of focus on data quality and accuracy, ensuring analysis provided to the business collaborators and business partners is of the highest standard
* Continuous improvement - work together with the business to improve processes, data quality and accuracy
* Capture risks and opportunities to improve EBITA for the business
* Completion of ad-hoc requests
* Update process flows, operating manuals, training guides, and standard operating procedures as needed
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
* Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountancy qualification, or equivalent by experience
* Experience of analysing and reporting financial and operational data, including the ability to collect, compile, and evaluate data from different sources
* Strong Excel skills with ability to build and use sophisticated formulae
