We are seeking a skilled Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to play a vital role in maintaining and improving the performance of a highly automated industrial facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys fault-finding, and takes pride in keeping critical plant equipment running at peak efficiency.
You will be responsible for driving plant reliability, operational uptime, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives, while upholding exceptional standards of health & safety, compliance, and engineering excellence .
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown maintenance
✅ Diagnosing and resolving faults across motors, sensors, relays, contactors, control panels, and PLC systems
✅ Supporting engineering improvement projects to enhance plant performance and reliability
✅ Performing electrical and mechanical fault-finding on industrial equipment
✅ Working with MCC panels, control systems, and instrumentation including temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices
✅ Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
✅ Assisting with PLC hardware troubleshooting (Siemens S7 experience highly desirable)
✅ Promoting a strong safety-first culture and maintaining high housekeeping standards
✅ Contributing to continuous operational excellence on shift
What We're Looking For
✔ HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification
✔ Strong industrial / manufacturing / automated facility maintenance experience
✔ Proven electrical fault-finding and diagnostics capability
✔ Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens S7 preferred, other systems considered)
✔ Knowledge of motors, drives, MCCs, relays, sensors, and instrumentation systems
✔ Ability to work effectively in a rotating shift environment
✔ BS7671 18th Edition qualification is advantageous
