Maintenance Operations Manager - Housing Association - Voids - Birmingham - c£62k
Reporting to the Head of Service you will assist in delivering the Maintenance Operations Business Plan and have responsibility for the delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance works across a Housing Association property portfolio.
As Operations Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activity of Trade Supervisors, Trade Engineers, Surveyors and sub-contractors, ensuring that all business objectives are met within overall time, cost and budget constraints.
You will have proven experience of working within an organisation delivering maintenance and building services (preferably within Social Housing) covering multiple workstreams over a dispersed geographical area.
Experience of managing and inspiring a team to deliver high quality services and meeting operational and financial targets.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation (including CDM) and good practice, and experience of applying this knowledge in a repairs and maintenance setting.
Competent in budget setting and monitoring, and the ability to influence operations to maintain service within budget targets.
Ability to promote a zero-accident culture within a repairs and maintenance contracting environment.
Ability to lead and motivate teams of skilled, trade -based employees and supervisory staff across various work streams including void repairs, responsive repairs and planned works.
