We are seeking to appoint an innovative Teaching Assistant to support students in school. You will be skilled at engaging and motivating students who find learning and communicating a challenge, in the classroom as well as during intervention groups. Our CCN base is a provision which supports 9 students, who are fully integrated in to our mainstream school alongside their peers. These students are offered additional resources, intervention and at times different spaces to work as needed, in order to help them succeed in school. As a CCN base teaching assistant, you will be supporting students with special educational needs, specifically autism and associated difficulties. Aiding the teacher to deliver the curriculum, you will help children and young people to understand and access activities and overcome challenging behaviour both in the main classroom and in the base. Qualified at least to level 2 (grade C/4 or above at GCSE) in English and Maths. Able to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
