Job Description Live Life Aberdeenshire is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Health & Wellbeing Instructor to join our Live Life Well team on a permanent contract for 14 hours per week This role will be primarily based across the Inverurie area, supporting local communities to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing. The Role As a Health & Wellbeing Instructor, you will deliver safe, inclusive and engaging educational and physical activity sessions that support people of all ages and abilities to become more active. You will work with a diverse range of participants, including those referred through health and community pathways, older adults, and people living with long-term conditions using a person-centred approach. You will play a key role in helping participants build confidence, independence and sustainable healthy habits. Key Responsibilities Deliver a range of health-focused physical activity sessions, including strength, balance, mobility and low-impact exercise Support individuals referred through health, social care and community pathways Adapt sessions to meet individual needs, abilities and health considerations Create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment for all participants Motivate and support participants to achieve personal wellbeing goals Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and referrers across North West Aberdeenshire Maintain accurate triage, attendance, monitoring and evaluation records Ensure all sessions are delivered in line with health & safety, safeguarding and organisational standards What We’re Looking For A recognised fitness or physical activity qualification (e.g. Level 3 Fitness Instructor or above with exercise referral or level 4) Experience of delivering inclusive physical activity to a wide range of abilities A strong interest in health improvement, wellbeing and community impact Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate, support and engage participants with varying needs An understanding of working with older adults, long-term conditions or referral-based programmes (desirable) Confident in IT systems and skilled in Microsoft 365 tools Requirements Why Join Live Life Aberdeenshire?
