Offer description

At CAP, we celebrate diversity and strive to build an inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve. We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from Global Majority/UK Minority Ethnic candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented within our wider workforce. We are committed to creating an environment where every individual can thrive and feel they belong.

Everything we do is rooted in our values. First and foremost, we are Christ-centred. The work that we do is guided by faith and the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and God’s love.

We are bold in fearlessly putting that faith into action to help others and challenge injustice, while also seeking to be compassionate in the way that we want to understand others and offer them meaningful care. We are collaborative in our approach, making time to learn from others and work together to take on UK poverty. And finally, we prioritise being joyful in the face of challenges, because our faith gives us confidence that change is truly possible.

Please note this is a 6 month Fixed term contract, with a hybrid pattern of 2-3 days per week worked from our Bradford support hub. The salary shown is for full time hours and would be paid pro rata for part time. Flexible hours would be considered for the right candidate.

Context:

The Church & Supporter Engagement Department exists to build a movement of supporters and churches giving, praying, and taking action to end UK poverty. All of our engagement with churches relies on accurate and up to date information on the churches that we need to connect with. This role sits in the Church and Supporter Care Team.

The Church Data Administrator is also part of the Mission and Movement Directorate, who bring together fundraising, communications, advocacy and discipleship functions.

Purpose:

The Church Data Administrator is a fixed term role responsible for verifying and updating our church data records and designated contacts to a high standard, so that it can facilitate authentic engagement, streamlined communication and deeper partnership with local churches. The role will also use the fixed term period to create, and begin, a yearly review schedule, to ensure that records remain accurate.

Passion:

We are passionate about building connections with churches, and supporting them to make a real difference in the fight against poverty in the UK, whether through giving, prayer or running one of our life transforming services.

Personality:

We are a driven, tenacious, collaborative team that is full of compassion and who find some fun in every day.

Accountabilities:

* Cleaning the Data: Manually checking identified fields on the church and associated church leader records.
* Fixing Church Records: Working within the limits of our current system to make sure our church data is as high-quality as possible. This includes exploring the use of publicly available church databases.
* Connect with the right stakeholders: making sure that church facing teams are aware of development and progress in this work
* Supporting the Connection Team: Providing the team with accurate, "ready-to-call" lists so they can hit their goal of 60 calls a day.
* Setting Up a Yearly Review: Creating a 12-month cleaning schedule to keep this information updated in the future.

Culture:

Working at CAP is more than a job; its a commitment to a community and movement. We believe that a healthy culture is the fuel for our mission. This means we prioritise spiritual rhythms in our week - including dedicated time for morning prayer, worship, and team huddles. We are a joy-filled office, which means we celebrate every win, from a client becoming debt-free to a colleagues personal milestone. We expect our team to be all in - not just in their tasks, but in contributing to a supportive, laughter-filled, and prayerful environment.

o Inclusive Belonging: We want you to bring your whole self to work, knowing you are valued for who God made you to be.

o Encouraging friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer programme and other fundraising initiatives.
o Attending annual CAP staff conferences and team revive days.
o Completing all compulsory CAP training within the given timescales.
o This role falls within the scope of the FCAs conduct rules, and you will be provided with training as to how these apply to the role. It is your responsibility to ensure that you follow these conduct rules.
