Overview
Senior Teaching Laboratory Technician (107020-0925). This role supports the Department of Chemistry’s Teaching Laboratories at the University of Warwick. You will be part of the Technical Services Team delivering high quality technical support to staff, students and visitors in the Teaching Laboratories. You will work flexibly with staff across the department and the wider technical services team to achieve a high standard of support for staff and students.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a technical service in teaching laboratories and contribute to the smooth running of the Department’s Teaching Laboratories.
* Collaborate with staff across the department and the Technical Services Team to provide high-quality support for staff and students.
* Support a busy student-facing environment with independent and innovative problem-solving as required.
About You / Qualifications
* Good honours degree in a related science (ideally Chemistry).
* Highly organised with up-to-date working knowledge of COSHH regulations.
* Experience of HE (higher education) environment is desirable.
* Desirable: a Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards one.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; able to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
