Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) – Telephone Triage
* Location: Wavertree, Liverpool
* Pay: £22–£32 per hour
* Job Type: Part-time, Flexible shifts
Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) in a dynamic telephone triage role based at our head office in Wavertree, Liverpool. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in urgent care through direct telephone interactions, guiding patients to the appropriate care pathways.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Handle clinical call-backs efficiently from the 111 and 999 services.
* Utilise clinical judgement to direct patients to the correct care facilities.
* Collaborate with a supportive team including GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), and Clinical Coordinators.
* Manage approximately 4–6 calls per hour, ensuring high-quality care and advice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Nurse or Paramedic with a background in Urgent or Emergency care.
* Strong ability to make independent clinical decisions.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
* No prescribing responsibilities are required for this role.
