Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As a vital member of our team, you’ll ensure that our outside plant facilities are in top-notch condition. Your expertise and dedication will help Verizon operate at maximum efficiency. Here’s what you can expect:
* Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant, including aerial, underground, submarine, and buried cables, poles, and associated hardware.
* Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching various hardware.
* Reading and interpreting engineering work orders.
* Performing construction work using designated equipment, such as digging holes and placing poles.
* Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment.
* Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
* Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed.
What We’re Looking For
If you have a passion for outside plant and construction, we want to hear from you! You thrive in a busy environment and understand the importance of teamwork. Here’s what you’ll need:
* A valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
* A CDL or the ability to obtain one.
Bonus Points If You Have
* An Associate Degree or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
* Completed the Verizon Technician Program or similar training in electrical or lineman skills.

Working Conditions
This is a worksite-based role, meaning you’ll be onsite at defined locations. Expect a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
