Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children living in our Ofsted-regulated home. The Senior Care Worker will take a lead role in mentoring and supporting care staff, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in line with statutory regulations.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct care and support to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
* Supervise and mentor junior care staff, supporting them in their duties and professional development.
* Assist in the implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management plans.
* Maintain accurate records of children s progress, incidents, and safeguarding concerns.
* Act as a positive role model, fostering a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
* Support the Deputy/Registered Manager in daily operations and team coordination.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and company procedures.
* Facilitate and encourage children s participation in educational, recreational, and social activities.
* Participate in staff meetings, handovers, and training sessions.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years experience in a residential children s care setting
* Knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and child protection
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
