ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Woodlands Home & Garden Group is a long-established UK manufacturer with over 100 years of heritage. Founded in Horsforth, Leeds in 1913, the business has grown into a multi-site operation employing over 150 people across Rodley (LS13), Thornbury (BD3), and Horsforth (LS18).
We manufacture and distribute a wide range of timber products, including garden buildings, trade timber, and DIY products, supplying customers nationwide through both trade and online channels. Continued growth has enabled ongoing investment in our people, fleet, and operations.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for reliable and flexible 3.5t flatbed drivers to join our nationwide delivery team.
This role involves nationwide deliveries, where start and finish times are dictated by daily run lengths and delivery routes. While the role is contracted at 40 hours per week, start times (from 4.00am onwards) and finish times will vary depending on the run and are not fixed.
This role therefore suits individuals who are flexible and do not have strict daily time commitments, and who are comfortable with variation rather than set routes or predictable finish times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collecting a pre-loaded vehicle from site for same-day deliveries
* Driving efficiently to meet planned delivery schedules
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks and inspections
* Ensuring the vehicle and load are safe, secure, and roadworthy at all times
* Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Full UK driving licence (points considered)
* Flexible approach to working hours, as start and finish times vary based on run lengths
* Physically fit, as manual handling is required
* Confident and professional when dealing with customers
* Strong time management, reliability, and safety awareness
