Mechanical Engineer (Agri) - Ballymoney - Permanent Riada Resourcing is proud to represent a well‑established provider of bespoke livestock housing systems, now seeking a Technical Manager to support customers across Northern Ireland. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background, practical farming experience, and the ability to accurately measure, price, and advise on technical agricultural installations.

Carry out accurate on‑farm measuring up, ensuring correct system specification and installation requirementsPrepare precise pricing and quotations based on technical assessmentsUse your mechanical and farming knowledge to advise customers on the most suitable solutionsDevelop new business opportunities while managing existing accountsWork closely with the Commercial Manager to deliver regional strategyFollow up on leads from trade shows and marketing activityProvide high‑quality customer service before, during, and after installationConduct regular farm visits, attend trade events, and represent the business professionallyDeliver technical presentations and maintain accurate reportingInterpret technical drawings and communicate clearly with farmers and contractorsCriteria:
Strong practical knowledge of dairy farming and farm operations (essential)Mechanical or technical background, ideally with experience in farm machinery, equipment, or installationsAbility to measure, specify, and price technical systems accuratelyPrevious sales experience within agriculture, dairy, or machinery (desirable but not essential)Self‑motivated with strong drive and enthusiasmProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Full clean driving licence and willingness to travelExcellent communication and problem‑solving skillsStrong organisational abilityIf this sounds like the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you!
