Nuclear Medicine Operational Lead Technologist
The Clinical Services Division Directorate at St Bartholomew's Hospital is recruiting a talented Technologist/Radiographer to join the leadership team as Operational Lead Technologist for Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT. The post is based at St Bartholomew's Hospital in the City of London with cross-site working. The post holder will be a credible, visible role model responsible for the safe and effective management of day-to-day Nuclear Medicine services and for governance compliance, including PET-CT, while providing high-profile Clinical Specialist support to all Nuclear Medicine imaging staff and to the department.
Responsibilities
* Ensure safe and effective day-to-day management and operational coordination of Nuclear Medicine services, including PET-CT, and governance compliance.
* Provide high-profile Clinical Specialist support to Nuclear Medicine imaging staff and to the department.
* Lead and manage technologist staff and site leads; monitor staffing levels and resource issues.
* Collaborate with site lead technologists and senior management to develop the service in line with commissioner requirements and Trust objectives, engaging key stakeholders and promoting organizational expectations.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the Department as a member of the Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT Management Team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Essential
o Extensive experience in Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT and cardiac imaging.
o Experience and knowledge of Nuclear Medicine governance, compliance and risk management.
o Experience supervising and managing staff, including appraisals, within Nuclear Medicine.
o Working knowledge of ionising radiation regulations; effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team.
o DCR, BSc Diagnostic Imaging, Postgraduate in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent; HPC Registration (RCT).
o Evidence of leadership experience.
* Desirable
o Post-registration qualification at MSc/PG Dip level or equivalent.
