The Role
As HMO Licencing Manager, you will take ownership of all licensing andpliance requirements across the portfolio. This is a hands-on rolebiningpliance oversight, team management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure properties meet all HMO and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audit properties to identify HMO licensing requirements and ensure fullpliance
2. Coordinate safety checks, certifications, and statutory inspections
3. Oversee and manage a small team of Property Managers, including regular one-to-ones
4. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
5. Manage and oversee remedial works, including post-maintenance inspections
6. Coordinate contractors to deliver maintenance and repair works efficiently
7. Handle deposit returns in line with current legislation
8. Monitor rental arrears and manage dispute resolution processes
9. Instruct and manage eviction proceedings where required
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems
11. Ensure the portfolio operates in a risk-averse and fullypliant manner
Candidate Requirements
12. Strong understanding of HMO licensing regulations andpliance processes (essential)
13. Previous experience in residential property management
14. Experience managing or supervising a team
15. Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
16. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
17. Confidentmunicator with a proactive approach
18. Experience using property management systems such as Qube (desirable)
