Job Description:
The Materials & Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Operations Lead and play a critical role in ensuring smooth material flow across the business. This is a hands-on position combining office-based coordination with workshop interaction.
Key responsibilities of the Materials & Logistics Coordinator include:
* Inspection and goods receipt of incoming materials
* Managing material traceability and stock location control
* Booking out finished products
* Coordinating internal and external transport for deliveries and collections
* Purchasing and maintaining consumables and packaging stock
* Raising purchase orders for subcontract operations
* Monitoring supplier and subcontract delivery dates
* Managing material certification and compliance documentation
* Releasing job cards upon receipt of materials
* Handling, movement and storage of materials
The Materials & Logistics Coordinator will ensure regulatory compliance is maintained at all times while supporting operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful as a Materials & Logistics Coordinator, you should have:
* Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or a stores environment
* Knowledge of engineering materials
* ERP system experience (EPICOR desirable)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Forklift licence (preferred)
* A proactive and team-focused approach
