Senior M&E Project Manager – Salary up to £90,000 (DOE) £5,000 Car Allowance Full Travel Expenses Pension (4%/8%) Private Healthcare Bonus Start Date: July 24 Role: Based in Hemel Hempstead the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £10M project. Reporting to a project director the position will be supported by a team of construction managers and supervisors. You will be expected to take the project from pre-construction through to handover. Relationship management, team coordination and project reporting are key to this position. Project: New Build data centre in Hemel Hempstead, with an MEP Value in the region of £30M, you will be working within a large multidisciplined team, alongside other project managers. Role/Responsibilities: * Tender review/validation * Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) * Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant * Technical submittals * RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors * Value Engineering where applicable * Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project * Health & Safety management (RAMs) * Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey. * Management of variations * Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors) * Progress meetings with sub-contractors, client and internal meetings * Overseeing commissioning stages * Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover The ideal candidate: * Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment * Experience working in the data centre sector * Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5M within your own discipline * A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role * Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as ISg, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace. * The candidate will show longevity in previous employment In return they offer: * A healthy pipeline of work – Our client have secured the majority of their turnover for next year. * Join a stable business who have an excellent staff attrition rate. * A very competitive basic salary, package and an excellent bonus scheme. * They are keen to promote from within and this position is no exception, with opportunities at senior management level
