We are seeking an experienced Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Specialist Practitioner to play a pivotal role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and improving health outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families.
In this position, you will undertake comprehensive assessments and lead the management of Child Protection and Child in Need cases. You will offer specialist clinical expertise, ensuring the highest standards of evidence‑based care while championing a child‑centred approach across all elements of practice.
As a SCPHN Specialist Practitioner within the 019 Public Health Nursing Service, you will provide professional supervision, guidance and support to practitioners, helping to build capability and consistency across the workforce. You will work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners, contribute to clinical governance, prepare high‑quality reports, and support the development and implementation of policies and pathways.
You will receive NHS continuous service recognition for the purposes of annual leave and sickness absence, and you can continue to access the NHS Pension Scheme if you are an existing scheme member.
