If you have experience in allied health and/or case management (e.g., OT, Nurse, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Physiotherapist), and/or in occupational/vocational rehabilitation, this could be the role for you.
About the job
We are currently hiring a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant (VRC) based in Eastleigh within our income protection claims department. Your role will involve coaching and advising claims case managers on absence management, treatment pathways, functional considerations, and workplace accommodations for physical and mental health conditions.
You will identify obstacles in return-to-work processes and advise on interventions and plans to overcome these barriers, supported by our multidisciplinary team. You will advocate for employees, considering the Equality Act, while balancing customer needs and claim implications.
Occasionally, you will manage complex cases to support a smooth return-to-work process.
Skills and experience required
* Experience managing rehabilitation cases
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to operate on multiple IT platforms (training provided) and adapt to a fast-paced environment
* Vocational rehabilitation qualification or membership (e.g., CDMP, VRA, CMSUK) is desirable but not essential
* Experience in corporate or insurance settings is highly regarded
