The core duties include: • Budget Formulation: Preparing and consolidating detailed annual and multi-year budget requests. • Budget Execution: Monitoring all obligations and expenditures from various funding sources to ensure financial accountability. • Advisory Services: Acting as the key financial advisor to the MSG and its squadrons by providing expert guidance on budgetary matters. • Analysis and Reporting: Conducting financial reviews, special studies, and using automated systems to analyze and report on budgetary data. Qualifications and Key skills • One year of specialized experience per the key skills. 1. Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute the budget in support of the mission, structure, goals, work processes and 2. Knowledge of automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplished budget/funding tasks. 3. Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding pertinent to installation programs/organizations. 4. Skill in the application of methods and techniques (e.g., cost-benefit analysis, ZBB, amortization, depreciation, and pro-rating revenues and costs among customers) to analyze and evaluate the effects of changes in program plans and funding. 5. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve budget/funding problems. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to justify, defend, present, and/or advise on budgetary processes/actions. Other Significant facts 1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential. 2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. 3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. 4. Work hours are flexible to meet mission needs and may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You may be recalled or assigned other duties as required for your grade and skills. 5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 6. Safeguards sensitive budget-related information and/or files. 7. The employee may be required to work overtime during fiscal year end operations (September) but is not guaranteed. Annual leave may not be approved during this period. 8. While the Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) program does not conduct regular drug tests, testing may be required in cases of reasonable suspicion or following a safety incident or accident. NOTE: You will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK This position may have certain restrictions on US citizens including US dual nationals due to the Status of Forces Agreement.
