My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Administrator to work for a reputable Construction Firm based in Jarrow.
The ideal candidate will have a strong administration background but have a good knowledge of basic accountancy. This is a 50/50 role between general administration and accounts administration. Previous experience within a similar role within a similar background.
This is a full time role, working Monday-Friday ideally 8am-4pm but willing to be flexible.
This will be on a temp-perm basis (3 - 6 months)
Key Responsibilities:
Making Calls to and from clients, subcontractors etc
Organising, hiring and off hiring plant hire and equiptment
Ensuring workers documents are updated and stored correctly
Dealing with work enquiries and bookings
Supporting day to day operations of working within a construction company
Raising Invoices
Chasing Invoices
Bank Reconciliation
Updating purchase ledgers
Basic administration duties
Understanding work schedules.
Previous experience working for / with a construction company desired.To be considered for this role, candidates must have administration experience with some knowledge of accountancy software (Xero is used), and the following:
Solid IT and computer skills
Strong organisational skills
Proactive, Independent and can work on own initiative
Strong communication and organisational abilities
Previous experience in a fast-paced admin or customer service environment
