Receptionist to join our friendly Facilities Management (FM) Support services team at the University of Oxford, delivering a high-quality reception and administrative service across our world-class buildings. FM Reception Services is your pathway to a dynamic and professional front-of-house career across ten prestigious University of Oxford buildings in the city centre. From the historic Oxford Martin School to cutting-edge developments like the Schwarzman Centre and the Life and Mind Building, our receptions are as diverse as they are distinguished. About the Role Our receptionists are the face of the University at several key buildings across Oxford. You’ll deliver a warm and efficient front-of-house service, supporting staff, visitors, and the wider Facilities Management (FM) Team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same - you might be welcoming visitors, managing room bookings, issuing access cards, handling mail and deliveries, or supporting small administrative projects. You will also help to maintain a safe and secure environment and may act as a first aider and fire marshal (with training provided). 6. A good understanding of standard administrative procedures, evidenced by formal secretarial/administrative qualifications (for example NVQ Level 2 Business Administration or RSA Diploma) or work experience at a similar level.
7. Ability to use standard computer programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
8. To demonstrate good communication skills (both oral and written)
9. To possess inter-personal skills needed to relate to a wide range of people, particularly when responding to requests and enquiries.
