Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a local authority, based in Worcestershire, which is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their busy Childcare Legal Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with an interest in law, particularly childcare proceedings, to build their career within the public sector. Role: Legal Assistant – Childcare legal team Location: Worcestershire – hybrid Contract Length: 12 months Umbrella Rate: £15.66ph PAYE Inc. Rate: £14.23ph Key responsibilities include: Preparing, producing, and delivering court bundles under supervision. Maintaining accurate case records on the electronic case management system (Iken). Undertaking any administrative tasks required by the childcare legal team with professionalism and discretion. Essential Requirements: GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Maths. A minimum of 6 months’ office experience within a legal team. This will ideally be in a public sector setting or childcare/family legal team. Strong IT skills, including MS Office applications and an excellent attention to detail. Willingness to travel across Worcestershire (and occasionally further) for meetings and hearings. Benefits included with the role: Hybrid working – a minimum of two days per week in the office.
