With 40 years of experience in the industry and abined experienced team across multiple sectors of construction, your new employer is a diversepany, providing solutions for the public and private sectors and havingpleted a range of projects across themercial, education, healthcare and transport sectors. Based out of their headquarters in Mid-Ulster with offices also in Belfast for those local to the area, while also having offices across the UK and fantastic future work secured, they are now seeking to expand their headcount.
Your new role
As a Construction Planner, you will play a crucial role in the planning and scheduling of our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project plans are developed, maintained, andmunicated effectively. Your primary goal will be to ensure that projects arepleted on time, within budget, and to the required standards.Initially, this role will see you take on full planning responsibilities for a £30million construction project.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
1. Developing detailed project schedules and plans.
2. Monitoring project progress and updating schedules as needed.
3. Coordinating with project managers and site managers to ensure alignment with project goals.
4. Identifying potential delays and developing mitigation strategies.
5. Preparing and presenting progress reports to stakeholders.
6. Ensuringpliance with health and safety regulations and project specifications.
7. Analysing project data and providing insights for continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a similar role at a similar level, ideally with 3+ years of experience. Ideally proficient in the use of Microsoft Project & Asta with a proven track record of use during past projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,bined with excellent organisational and time-management abilities, are essential. You will need effectivemunication and interpersonal skills, along with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are also required.
