Overview
Pownall Hall School is a co-educational school committed to a caring, disciplined, safe and secure family environment in which pupils maximise their academic, sporting, musical and creative potential. The school aims to instil traditional values of courtesy, good manners, mutual respect, tolerance and compassion, helping pupils develop self-discipline and good working habits for the future. Our setting includes a woodland forest school, wildlife pond, theatre, science lab, astro pitch and full-sized sports hall, designed to inspire children to explore, discover and enjoy being children each day. Safeguarding is at the heart of our work, and we aim to provide a joyful school experience where children feel known, supported and excited to learn.
Responsibilities
* Sweeping, hoovering and cleaning designated areas of the school site, including tables, chairs, toilets and washrooms, emptying waste and recycling, mopping, cleaning skirting boards and stairways, laundry, and staff areas.
* Flexibility to work across alternative areas if required and time allows.
* Fill soap dispensers, hand towels, tissues and toilet paper as needed.
* Report faults or breakages promptly.
* Complete EduCare online courses as required by the school, read and understand relevant policies, and update training as requested.
* Maintain a high level of personal and professional conduct, upholding respect for all children, staff, parents and visitors.
* Follow school safety procedures and drills (e.g., Fire Safety).
* Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear appropriate clothing and uniform as required.
* The post holder may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the school.

* Hours negotiable, across 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Commercial cleaning: 1 year (required).
* United Kingdom work authorisation (required).
