Specialty Training Programme Director for Haematology – NHS England
Join to apply for the Specialty Training Programme Director for Haematology role at NHS England. The role is within the School of Medicine and works with the Head of School to lead delivery of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate and long‑term workforce plan.
The role will focus on improving learner supervision, assessment, experience, faculty engagement, and ensuring effective educational outcomes now and in the future.
The appointment is a part‑time secondment to NHS England alongside existing employment with an NHS Trust in the South West. It is a senior educator position on a secondment basis until 31 March 2027.
The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician with a thorough understanding of education and training across the region, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑professional team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the delivery of specialty training programmes in Haematology.
* Improve learner supervision, assessment and experience.
* Engage faculty and ensure effective educational outcomes.
* Support the Head of School for Medicine and align activities with NHS England mandate.
