New Directions are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Altrincham supporting in KS2. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The role is due to start in September and is expected to continue on a long-term basis.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with previous experience working within a school setting who can provide high-quality support to pupils and work effectively alongside teaching staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role
• Support pupils across the primary age range, both individually and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
• Promote a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Candidate
• Previous experience working within a school setting is essential
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential
• A positive, proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children
• The ability to adapt to the needs of different pupils and classroom environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
