Overview
Camborne Station role involves delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring safety, and maintaining a clean and welcoming station environment. The position focuses on assisting customers, selling tickets, providing journey information, and supporting the safe and punctual operation of train services.
Responsibilities
* Providing the highest level of customer service and being dedicated to customer needs
* Meet and greet customers at the ticket barrier in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner; sell tickets and provide journey information using ticket selling systems
* Ensure the safe and punctual departure of trains from the station by following correct dispatch procedures
* Provide information and assistance to customers
* Prioritize the safety of customers, staff, visitors and contractors
* Maintain a safe, pleasant, and clean station environment
* Support station duties at Camborne Station, a busy station on the Cornish mainline with higher visitor numbers during holiday periods
Location and Working Pattern
The role is based at Camborne Station. Own transport is necessary due to start and finish times being outside typical train running times. The working pattern is 3 days per week.
Additional Information
Candidates shortlisted will be invited to undertake an ability test and a competency-based interview. The successful candidate may be required to undertake a safety-critical medical, including colour vision and drugs/alcohol screening, and a Basic DBS check. Interviews will take place on 7 October. Training is provided at our Training Centre in Swindon, generally Monday to Friday with full-time hours. A travel pass and hotel accommodation are provided where applicable.
